Obama’s view of global warming is opposed by Congress

Global warming is a serious issue and it has been increasingly the focus of politicians in the last couple of years. Even though scientists have been warning about the dangers of this, there are some who just don’t believe that it’s real.

President Obama has been trying for months to negotiate with the leaders of the world to implement changes in their laws to slow the effects of climate change. He has stated more than once that before 2017, he wants to make a difference in the world regarding this issue. However, he is meeting opposition from Congress.

Various members of the Congress have stated in public that they do not agree with Obama’s mission, and they warned the leaders of other countries to not trust the American President. How is this possible?

Apparently, the Republicans and some Democrats believe that this will hurt the economy and produce an economic crisis in countries already dealing with severe economic problems. They don’t think that any deal or change of law can make a difference in slowing climate change and those changes will eliminate jobs.

According to President Obama, the best thing to do is to convince all countries to change their laws regarding pollution as this will make a serious difference in the following years. However, members of the Congress think that this will be pointless since the major industrial polluters like China do not want to take part.

The American President will meet the President of China and the Prime Minister of India in the next days in Paris, and he will try to negotiate a deal that is beneficial for everyone.
