British College Students Turning To Sex Industry To Pay Fees

A new study is showing that there is an increase in the number of college students who are turning into the sex industry to pay fees.
The study shows that more than 100,000 college students, which represent 1 in 20 college students, have in several occasions thought about joining the sex industry so as to pay their way through college.
The study has shown that college students are increasingly thinking of becoming pole dancers, strippers and even full prostitutes for ways to make ends meet.

In addition to that, the study titled “Student Sex Work Project” revealed that male students were more likely to indulge in sex related activities to pay for their fees as compared to female students.

Dr Tracey Sagar, the author of the study, stated that, “We now have firm evidence that students are engaged in the sex industry across the UK.”

“The majority of these students keep their occupations secret and this is because of social stigma and fears of being judged by family and friends. And, we have to keep in mind that not all students engaged in the industry are safe or feel safe.”

The increase in the number of British college students turning to the sex industry to pay fees might also be as a result of firms such as Saffron Gold, which has been targeting and encouraging students from Salford and Manchester to join the industry. They have even issued out fliers stating that they are looking for “attractive, charming ladies aged between 18 and 40 with good figures and great personalities,” adding, “We are happy for ladies with different profiles to apply for our escort vacancies because all our clients are not the same and they have different needs and preferences.”
