Amy Anderson: The Rising Star of Women’s Golf

Amy Anderson is a woman professional golfer from the United States. She was born in 1992. She started her professional career quite recently in 2013. She was born in North Dakota. She is the sibling of golfer Nathan Anderson. She was home schooled throughout her high school years. She joined the State University of North Dakota at 17 years of age. She had been interested in golf from her younger years. Her passion towards the game had helped her to win many rewards.
She started to play golf as an amateur.  In the span of her amateur golf career, she won numerous competitions on different levels, regional, state, local and many more. The noteworthy win in her amateur career was The US Girls Junior Championships in 2009. In her college, she also competed in the golf program for women. She had been the winner of 20 events on collegiate level. Despite being a star golfer, Anderson had high GPA in her college studies as well. The record helped her to win the Elite 89 Award for being a student-athlete having the maximum GPA.
Anderson completed her senior years in NDSU and joined professional golf. No sooner she had her transition to professional golf she won the second stage of qualifying school, LPGA. Her card for LPGA tour was issued in 2013, so that she can join the rookie class of 2014. She had her best performance when she tied for the seventh position in Lotte Championship, LPGA in Hawaii. She also represented the US as a team in the 2012 Curtis Cup.
