Severe Quake In Nepal Shakes Four Different Countries, Claims More Than 1,900 Lives

The number of dead continues to climb upward even as Nepal recovers from one of the worst natural disaster in the form of an earthquake in the country. An avalanche on Mount Everest was the most obvious collateral seen after the earthquake. Severe aftershocks called for immediate attention in the form of medical aid.

The earthquake in the home of the Mount Everest is believed to have claimed lives of as much as 1,900 people in four different countries bordering Nepal. The number is expected to rise sharply as more and more casualties are discovered.

The earthquake hit the region with a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale. The quake had the potential to shake the earth in four neighboring countries too. While the earthquake is believed to be responsible for a huge number of deaths,  there are reports of casualties in the form of damage to property too.

As per reports, over 1,800 people lost their lives in Nepal. The number of casualties in India was 51. The earthquake is believed to have claimed 17 lives in Tibet, while two people in Bangladesh were found to be dead because of the earthquake.

Quite a part of the population of Nepal was affected by the earthquake. The capital city of Katmandu was affected. The damage spread to places beyond the Katmandu valley too. The earthquake continues to make its presence felt in the form of after-shocks.
