MQ-1 Predator pilots committed some serious mistakes which ultimately led to its crash. The crew was flying over Syria for an intelligence operation and it was shot down due to number of errors. The press is being informed by U.S. European Command that the crash happened on March 17 was clearing due to human error. Philip Breedlove, an Air Force General who is also commander-in-chief of the Europe conducted the investigation.
A safely investigation board report, a classified document has noted many reason behind the crash and measures to prevent the same in the future. Erros caused by pilot’s errors of judgement and control guidance led to the crash. There were some complexities in mission approval process, EUCOM told the press. Many sources confirmed that the Syria Air Defenses shot down the predator but the Air Force haven't mentioned anything. The officials said that all equipment on board was working fine during the mission.
Crew preparation and approval was redesigned after the accident. Operation Inherent Resolve was the code name of the mission and no one was held responsible for the mishap. The new technology for the RPA fleet is being deployed now to control the Predators over Syrian airspace now. Syrian Defense Forces have totally paralyzed as US Military jumped into the civil war.
The war-torn country faces three-way battle between Syrian Government, Islamic State and Rebels. The United States Military is now supporting the efforts by the moderate rebel forces. The air strikes against the Islamic states are on at full swing.
